That is a lovely sight , Sheila I followed your instructions as you gave them to me last year ,do you remember my lovely almost black one , its worked its sending up lovely new shoots ,it remains to be seen if it will be the same colour this year .... Thank you :o)

Is yours actually in the pond?, Homebird, I understand they can actually survive lower temperatures there. Mine is in a shady border. I thought the coloured spathe ones were more tender, so interested to know how yours are faring.

Thank you for that information, Thorney. I thought the coloured ones were more tender. A friend tried a black one in the border, as the florist shop were she bought said they were hardy, but it died.
