Sparrowhawk landed in our garden.

Yikes ! it looks as though it might have a bird pinned down under there :o(

I saw it catch a Starling and bring it down. I thought about shooing it off, but then thought the hawk has babies to feed so I left well alone...They only take what they need to survive...

Thats true Linda ,we have the same problem here its sad but nature knows best ...

Amy, we have Buzzards, Sparrow hawk and Peregrines around here as well as a Kestrel out the back of the fields. We live at the edge of the countryside and get a lot of wildlife.

I love to see them, but not when they take the song birds...but that's nature as you say!

Raptors need meat, unfortunately here in suburbia, it Blue and Great Tits usually.

We have loads of baby starlings at the moment.

I wish we had one here...blessed Wood Pigeons are a darn pest!
