I do have " Black Emmanuel" which is a easy one and produces lots of buds ... and is very reliable .

Tough question. It can be a very dominate color that represses anything you can put with it, or it will probably turn out to be another uninspired red. I tried a dark one with Gilded by Grace and got an unimpressive kind-of-dark flower for the compost pile. About all I can think of is dark with dark to get another dark one.
