Thanks Siris & Gg. My fault I misspelled the name. Above is the correct name. Congratulations if you can pronounce it. lol
Here is a link with more info. Yes, this is a very striking plant & would look beautiful anywhere. It has a nice neat compact growth habit.

You would love this plant Karen. It stays nice and compact - never needs trimming, no fertilizer, not a lot of water. It likes lean sandy soil. Great for a rock garden, border, edging, hanging basket, pathway. It will even grow on a garden wall, in the cracks. Nothing could be easier to propagate - just break off a leaf or stem, stick it in the dirt. Boom! it's a new plant in a couple weeks.

What could be better! :)

Karen, I have this one and could root a piece for you, just let me know if you're interested. Just looked at the photo on my garden page and you commented you almost bought one at Elgin last year!

So I did Shirley! That's so kind of you...and your Sedum Matrona cuttings that you sent me are doing so well. However, a lot of plants don't cope well with moving from the south coast of England to the East Coast of Scotland in a couple of days! lol...don't worry, I'll get one easily from the nursery in Arbroath, and they aren't expensive. :) xx Kind Lady xx

Oh Karen, I understand how some plants object to moving to Scotland but am pleased the matronas are thriving ... Sedum 'Carl' you gifted me is doing well but the 'Strawberries & Cream' I bought at Wisley is still as small as when I planted it. Perhaps it needs re-siting?

Sometimes moving plants is what they need. :)
