Very pretty my garden is one mass of Violets but they do make good ground cover ...

don't you love them?... some are actually sweet smelling (tiny little white ones) There are yellow ones too. A friend from Goy sent me seeds for a variety called "freckles" and they really have started spreading all over the place!

Thanks Hb! I place a few violet roots in a bed with two very small hostas... violets love to colonize but they'll be done by the time the hosta have leafed out... I have violets to share and trade. Have found gardeners in the area who I can swap with.. One lady has an iris collection!
