Lily 'Fairy Morning'

I like the form on this.

Mine are all in bud I did catch two lily beetles on Saturday, but not seen so many this year , but easily spotted but they do have a habit of throwing them selves off and landing on there backs and with a black belly hard to spot them.

Fairy Morning seems to be a favourite with Lily Beetle. I put a hand under the leaf on which the beetles are, so if they somersault off I still get them.

I love those lillies, mine have not been attacked as badly this year, only found 8 beetles and squashed them, other years I have counted over a hundred, have given up on growing them in the garden borders, just have some in pots now, found it easier to control the pests that way. although after saying that there are still some poking up in the borders but very weak after all the beetle attacks over the years.

Olive, now that you say about weak Lilies in the border, there are 2 weedy Regales that I gave up on years ago. I thought it was just they didn't like my soil, but LB could be the cause.
Have just in the last 2 years, bought some packeted Lilies (on an inpulse) put in pots first year, then turned loose in the border.

A good name for this one , I carry a jam jar round with me I hold it under the 'Beastie' and tap it with luck it falls in the pot ...
