Cercis canadensis 'Appalachian Red' (Cercis canadensis (Eastern Redbud))

My favorite redbud variety and one that took me a while to find. This is shortly before the flowers opened this spring. It's hard to do this tree justice in a picture unless there's a regular redbud nearby for comparison.
