I had to re stake it. Plus it had been tied to close together...I let it go back to its regular width and that should let more sun and air in to the center of the small tree.
Hard to believe its June again. JUNE!

Yes its hard to believe its June already - where did half the year go? Must be a relief the mango is OK - seem to remember you were a bit worried about it?

Exactly Penny. They are prone to some mites and diseases if they don't get a good air flow.
Penny,Ster,I might trim off a couple of those panicles from branch tips..I don't want all fruit and no growth. They do that...a bad trait in our climate.

That is a shame your climate causes it to do that. Yes if you want growth then thats what you do.

I had fruit 2 years ago from it..and it weakened that small plant. Last year,it skipped fruiting and put on great growth.
So,lacking the 32-35C heat it takes to get both..I have to step in to be Solomon. ha.

Sounds as though it was recuperating from fruiting the year before by no fruit last year so yes be Solomon for the day ?

Is your mango tree setting small fruit? The one around the corner from me has mangoes the size of plums, now. It's loaded with so many mangoes.
With all the heat it should be starting to flush new growth.

Right now..kidney bean sized. I will post an update photo.
Mine has only had a very small flush of leaves. See how it goes Andy up here? If they dont fruit- I can get nearly 3' a years growth. If they do fruit? I will be lucky to get one foot.
75f I can see is nice for people..but Mangoes want 85f and more. Not that I'm complaining. One more foot makes it a 9' tree..and some tasty fruits.

That's great it has fruit! Heat will make the fruit grow very fast. The mango trees here have good-sized fruit, already...I think in the last week they've double in size from the heat and humidity. 90 degree heat with warm night make the trees and fruit grow very quickly! :>))

Its looks perky so far.. I fertilized it..and it does have two main branches flushing. One in spring had the tip rubbed off hitting that gutter, the other I cut off Andy, since having NO summers growth I thought was too risky. ,Maybe I should have removed more panicles of the top branches?
I tell you the Fremont Mango's growth has been out of this world.I look at the video of it..and then look at the google street of it in 2011. NOBODY would have convinced me a 2 or 3' stick Mango- not a single branch- would by 2016 be a walk under tree with supermarket sized Autalfo - yellow- Mangoes. I have done my best..but mine is still far from being a true tree like that one.

Sometimes it's worth removing some flower spikes. The secret is to get it large for hardiness...then have it really produce fruit. Larger trees produce the best.
I still think Mission San Jose, Fremont along with a few other micro-climates in the SF Bay Area are the best zones for growing tropicals. It's too bad the Manila Mango I planted in 1995 wasn't still there. It would be a huge tree by now.
