American Agave [Century]

American Agave [Century]

This was tiny when first planted, I had to clip the points off so I could garden round it. At the back is a beautiful old olive. Also there is a mimosa dealbata and Nispero shrub which had the most heavenly scented flowers in December.

The one in the foreground is an Osteospurmum, the other is lampranthus again, only a purple variety. The yellow is Marguerite, Marguerite!!

Yes, we were Marguerite, but it became too much for us, the land was 4.50 acres, the garden 1 acre, we grew carobs too for chocolate or animal feed, I remember picking them for about 5 days for the grand amount of 30euros(£20), no wonder the local farmers tittered when they saw us coming!
