Coffee to Go x Out of the Blue

Coffee to Go x Out of the Blue

I am really throwing every thing at this one in order to start a new line. What makes it different than most everything else is its size: 2.75", which makes it a true mini (it has to be less than 3" to be a mini. 3-4.5 is a small flower).

At first this was a bit of a disappointment because Out of the Blue had no effect, but minis are very hard to find, so I am going with it. There was an article in the AHS Journal that said, since 2012, less than 1% of all daylilies registered were minis - less than 100!

Well its nice to have some thing different are rare is nt it .

I have to be careful it doesn't get shaded out by the monsters around it. I am also working on a mini double.

You will have to move it or the monsters around it
That will be interedting a mini double .

I need to open a area for just the low growers. I have several that I think would benefit from it.

So much work :( The last area I opened up had a pampas grass growing in the middle of it. It took about a week of digging, and then carefully finding and removing bracken roots.

Yes I can imagine that is why I said in time ☺ Pampas one plant I would never have they are lovely plants but trying to dig them out was impossible for me I had to try and dig one out for my mum years ago I gave up in tge end lol.

It took a hoe and a fork and 3 days to dig it out. With such a large area, I can fit them in. At one time there were 4, and now only one.

Well done you getting it out. Thats great you can fit them in now . 4 my goodness will you be keeping tge last one.

I opened a new area last year for the daylilies, and the pampas grass sits in line with the morning sun. Not so bad in the summer, but in the winter it adds to a problem of too much shade.

Yes that is the trouble one olant shading another did you remove the Pampasgrassor leave it. I shall look forward to seeing your new area.
