Motty unfortunately this has come out more blue than it is, if you Google it, you might get a better colour, on my Mac it is the right colour, but my tablet nothing like.......I do prefer it to Rhapsody tbt, it could take a little shade, to stop it fading!
Thanks Feverfew it was one of those German supermarket buys 1.99!! and there were two in the package, gave the other to our daughter, and it flowered the first year!

It's gorgeous! I would think roses love the sun. My neighbor's roses start flowering in February, especially after a winter heatwave.

They love the sun Delo but not the same temp for 2-3 days as the Gobi desert. They were revelling in the lovely English sunshine before that burst of superheat. Still they were lovely while it lasted.I will chuck a few handfuls of my favourite rose fertiliser down, now the earth is damp, and see if they will repeat a display. That colour is amazing, but as you note DD, not always the same on different systems.

Dorjac:
We actually get the same temps you got during your heat wave many times in February (around 100ºF or 38ºC)...believe-it-or-not. The sun is also much more intense because I'm closer to the equator. The roses never burn here (maybe because they're used to more heat on average here). The two week long heatwave just ended today, finally! Yay! :>))

I am hopeless in the heat Delo. My feet swell and I get hot flushes.....like I was back in my fifties! I just have to lurk in the shade until it goes away. Creep out early, while its cool, and water the garden.Carry out my to do list, then hop back indoors in front of the fan. I am pathetic when its hot!

Dorjac:
I can relate. I don't go outside during the daytime in summer. I go out in morning and during evening (before the sun goes down). It still can be very hot; however, it's tolerable when the sun isn't beating down on you.
This coming week the monsoonal flow is starting (right on time for the "July Fry"). We typically don't receive monsoonal rain, just the very hot humid weather and the very warm to hot nights. Ugh!
