Hydrangea serrata always flowers well for me, even after hard winters that kill the buds on other hydrangeas. Luckily, this year wasn't too bad and all my hydrangeas are flowering. The other hydrangeas in the picture are H. serrata 'Miyama-yae-murasaki' (small hydrangea on the left), 'Preziosa' (large one back and left) and H. serrata 'Blue Bird' (back).
