The original plant that I got this cutting from has only flowered once in the 5+ years I've had it. I really like the size, shape and flowers on this Daphne so I planted this one in a different spot. I only planted this last season so the flowers are a promising sign and it's growing more vigorously too. This one is actually less protected from the cold but gets a lot more sun so maybe that was all it needed?

Most of my Daphnes don't seem to mind how much sun they get as long as they get some. I have several that only get morning sun and all of them flower well except for this hybrid. The other spot where I have a lot of Daphnes gets sun most of the day and there are a few that grow faster and flower heavier there.
