I was thinking the same Shirley. I have some that grow through a perennial that has already flowered and been cut back, leaving the alliums high and dry.

Oh, that's a shame. I really dislike the foliage of them now, am thinking of lifting them from around the borders. and putting them en masse somewhere. Difficult to know what to do with them .....

Mine need to be moved I noticed they're almost smothered by a shrub ....

Or grow them behind something lower? They will stand tall but you won't see the foliage.

Very true Shirley the shrub was tiny when I planted it the Alliums are lying sideways on the path trying to find some freedom from it ... I'll do that when I move them in the autumn Andrew ...

I know just what you mean Amy ... the ones in a sunny spot stand upright but the others in a shadier spot lean towards the light ... :o(
