It had a slow start, but now I'm getting a lot of great flowers on it.

Slow but sure then ☺ thats great you are getting more flowers now.

It is because of the heat - something I would like to do without. Less than 60 days and the cooler fall weather and rain will begin. During July and August I look forward to mid-September.

Yes heat does open them up quicker I notice with my ordinary Lily s today being so hot here. I think I would to if its humid heat out there . I am suprised your rain comes in July and August we have nt had much rain here at all.

We get some, but not a lot of rain in July and August. Usually enough to get the foliage wet but not very deep into the ground. Great for the farmers who grow a lot of dent corn.

No, corn for cows. It also means that if a farmer plants it in a field next to mine, I can't grow sweet corn because the pollen from dent corn turns sweet into dent.

Thats terrible the same happens with gm crops I was watch an American farmer who had his organic crops close to gm crops he said he kept the crop as if not he would have had to distroy all of his crops which he could nt afford to do. When this happens I believe new laws should be made not to be able to grow if it can infect other crops.

The only way to avoid the cross is to plant either a month earlier or later.
