I got the pod parent as a named bonus plant, but it turned out to be incorrectly named. I decided to use it anyway and put an edge on it. This is the result, a dark rose self with a golden halo and edge.

Bud count plays a big factor. Most are evergreen and re-bloom. I am starting to get some very tall ones, so a strong scape is also needed.
I really don't like the smell of daylilies. When they are very fragrant the odor tends to burn the nose. And if they taste like they smell, yak.

lol I know what you mean I am the same with a lot of womans perfumes makes you feel you cant breathe.
That's great you getting long strong stems so you need a bit of both then.
