Aiphanes horrida (caryotifolia) - Spine Palm

This palm is not very common here. It's an extremely spiny palm which is very tropical. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on July 25, 2017.

Yes, it's more a collectors palm here. To the left in this same spot there's a 20 plus foot tall one. My pic didn't turn out well....so I didn't post it. :>))

Yes I can see it being a collectable one by the edges of the leaves so different .
I would post the picture any way does nt have to be perfect.

I've actually placed some side wards. For some reason when you take a pic with an iPhone is always stays in the same format. I think the new generation of iPhones will be different, though.

Yes the new iPhones are better my daughter has one. Also they have altered the format on here as I use to be able to place portrait way on here now if I do that it comes out on GoY on its side I can only get landscape way photos to turn out right way up.

Yes, I do remember when posting pics (taken with my camera) in portrait they would stay that way...now they end up sideways. It's most likely the format or something in the website programming.

Yes they have changed the format some how it must be the site as I could once place portrait on here and it would be the right way up.
