Thank you Gnarly gnome clever you knowing its a female like birds the male is always the colourful ones to attract the ladies lol Toto Alan who use to be on here had some fantastic photos of coloured ones he loved his critters.

Lovely picture of the Hawker. I've seen one or two flying around in the river gardens down the road and also Damsel flies.

Think it's a Hawker, also think it's our largest dragonfly. Amazing to think they have been around a lot longer than us.

I think its a Southern Hawker and a female , she is not as attractive as the male who is a lot brighter in colour
This one does like a garden pond ...
