Lily Peruvian Daffodil Hymenocallis Festalis

Thats a pretty Ismene aka Peruvian Daffodil do you have this in a pot I think the variety is Festalis

I have grown this in the past

Hi 3d, this has been reclassified, it's now in the HYMENOCALLIS genus, Hymenocallis x festalis, it isn't hardy, needs a minimum winter temperature of 59f, so won't withstand even a mild winter in Uk, very nice though, Derek.

I grew in a terracotta pot lots of grit mixed in , kept in the greenhouse over winter with the pot turned on its side to keep it dry

I lost it 2012 minus 10 in the garden for 4 days I coudnt open the greenhouse door to fill the paraffin heater !!!

Beautiful 3d. Mine is only all leaves at the moment but it has lived outside in a huge pot with a Lophomyrtus for the 4 or 5 years I've had it. I didn't know it was tender so looked it up and it says zone 8. Still none the wiser!

Mine overwinters in the greenhouse. I have lots of wonderful leaves but no flowers. My friend keeps hers in the greenhouse over the summer but she has no flowers either. It did flower once.

That such a shame Linda I wonder why leaves but no flower I dont feed it hardly water either.
