Rudbeckia - Indian Summer

Rudbeckia - Indian Summer

I've started these from seed back in February. So worth it.

Nice, is it an annual or perennial, thanks

Thanks - It's referred to as "short-lived perennial" plus they freely self-seed. They started blooming last week in July and will keep going until frost. Very tolerant and easy to grow. I love the big fuzzy leaves as well.

You're welcome, Thanks Julia I hope the sun shines soon. It's been so hot and sunny here, I welcome a cloudy day. They sun here can be oppressive.

I've never seen these for sale anywhere. I think I'll be growing my own plants more often. Thanks I'm glad you like them.

Yes your always best to grow your own especially food seeds if you get a good crop you can grow extra and leave to seed and collect for next year's crops like the men on allotments do here.

Very tempting Julia, but I don't think you want the hurricanes that are brewing down south. They usually meander up my way, lol.

Agree Thrup. I find growing my own plants from seed very rewarding (and economical) - especially the annuals.
