Lol, that is one of the things I plan, got to buy some more kilner jars. Still got some sloe gin going since last year, I then make sloe port with the berries after so I might try that with the Damsons. You take the berries after they have been in the gin all that time and pour red wine and more sugar over them. Leave for about 8 weeks, drain and mix in brandy. It's lovely. My daughter like to make jam so I bet she will be helping herself.

I hated throwing the berries after making sloe gin so looked on internet if there was anything I could use them for. After making the port, it said to put them on a baking tray, cover in melted chocolate, let set then break I to pieces being careful of stones when eating, not tried that yet.

Oh yummy!!! I'm glad I don't live in your house Jen. I'd be permanently pickled with a grin on my face and chocolate round my mouth...bang would go the diet!!

Lol. Most welcome. Had friends stay last year and I put the bottle of sloe port on table like you do and said help yourself. She did, said she thought nicer then sloe gin but boy did her head hurt the next morning.
