I had never tried them before this year. It was also one of the trees she had cut right back so had no fruit. They are nice aren't they :-)

Yes, I love them and such a change from 'normal' plums. I bet you come up with something boozy to make with these too lol!

Lol, anyone would think I like my drink, hic. Trouble is hubby is also tea total so if any of our customers bring and bottles to say thank you, oh dear, I have to drink them :-). Most of what I make, I give away.
At lease internet seems to now be behaving this even Dawn. :-)

You make it and give it away?? Woman are you mad??? Seriously though I bet it's very gratefully received. My other half only drinks Lager, but I like wine, gin, brandy, whisky, rum...oh dear, there's no hope for me is there lol!

Lol, some have said that. Done it since girls were small. Started when I lived in Essex. Was a small village and behind our house, the field hedgerow was mainly blackthorn. Girls and I would collect them, then I would make the sloe gin, girls decorated the small bottles and we gave the to family and godparents for xmas from the girls. :-)
