Growing for many years in the most inhospitable place in the garden on a slope of at least 45 deg in the shade of a hedge where nothing else grows and the soil is constantly washed away it thrives .It is self sown had i planted it there it would surely died.

I have found a white one also in the base of the hedge. It is tiny compared to this but with time I am sure it will grow to be like yours.
