Species Amaryllis. In 3-4 weeks, the pink ones will bloom.

It is taking forever to get some I grew from seed to flower. It has been about 4 years now. Offsets, however, are not a problem.

That's a shame 4 years is a Lon time. I would stay with the offsets.

My Strelitzia Nicolai (Giant black Bird of Paradise) took 11 years for the first flower. So it hasn't been that long, yet.

Just looked your giant black Bird of Paradise up what a stunning plant its huge. I suppose compared with 11 years of waiting for that 4 years is nt long . I waited 14 years for a Wisteria to flower it never did so I had it dug out perhaps I feel I would nt live long enough for it to flower.
