Fuchsia 'Beacon' flowering on the balcony (Close up) on 18th August 2017

I created 3 standards from this variety many years ago but they were killed during the winter of 2009/10. They grew on trunks 3ft high, so the heads could project out over the top of the balcony railings.
I may make another couple of standards from this variety for next year - & hope we don't get any more "once in a lifetime" winters like that one!
