Cotoneaster (verticalis haha!) (Cotoneaster horizontalis)

Further along the East facing fence, the red Autumn berries of Cotoneaster horizontalis grown vertically with Abutilon megapotamicum variegatum. There is a red and yellow flower on it if you look carefully.

Thank you, every berry was preceded by a little pinkish flower, which the bees adore.

It's very attractive - like holiday decorations. My viburnum had a nice crop of berries too, but something gobbled them up in just one day - most likely a raccoon.

Raccoon, that's quite a large pest, with a large appetite I expect.

OH yes, they have super sharp teeth & claws and can see in the dark. It's best to give it up, whatever they want.

Thank goodness we don't have raccoon , we have enough pests to deal with lol!! love the berries on this shrub.
