Cowboys must be near... (Washingtonia robusta (Mexican Fan Palm))

This is in Irvington in Fremont ca. Old western style buildings still going.
With palms.

I remember when they planted these Mexican fan palms. I used to work in one of those old buildings, oh so many years ago.

Lol Stan about the cowboys. The palm look wonderful all along the street.

They need to be pruned back, though. LoL! They used to prune them back twice a year.

If I knew how to change setting on this darn camera without the owners guide- a panorama would have shown Mission Peak ( mountain) and more palms to the left.

I know for a while I wanted a Sarsaparilla and whiskey!

Lol Stan I would go for the Sarsaparilla and Wisky blow the camera settings.

Yes, it would have been nice to see Mission Peak. I do miss the old neighborhood sometimes.

We were in San Fran yesterday Andy...73f at its peak with a breeze. Came home and it was 94f. I bet that part of Fremont was pushing 100f.

I have a few photos of the trip to the Conservatory of Flowers to post.

What a difference! It's the same here, though. Downtown SD will be 78 or 80 degrees and it's 95 degrees here where I live close to San Diego State.

I'm sure it's most likely 100 degrees there in Mission San Jose and Irvington and probably Warm Springs, also.

What else?

See who else is growing Washingtonia robusta (Mexican Fan Palm).

See who else has plants in genus Washingtonia.
