Dragon Fruit and Keitt Mango

I just picked this dragon fruit yesterday from my vine outside in the front yard. I love dragon fruit...just like mangoes. I didn't grow the mango. There's some nice mango tree in my neighborhood, though. Photo taken Aug. 26, 2017.

It's cut in half and then you can scoop the meat out. This variety is very sweet.

Looks delicious..I bet chilled and eaten on a hot day is a treat. Opuntia fruit to me taste like strawberry- watermelon. Never had the Dragon.

It's very delicious! It's sweet and is very good for you. :>)) That's a good combination. It does taste very different from Opuntia fruit.

We know this fruit as pitaya. Cactus fruit. 2 different colors, pink and yellow

Yes, it's called Pitaya here, also. :>))
There's several varieties grown here...there's pink, red, yellow and a salmon colored fruit. The inside can be red or white. This one is red inside.

People say the salmon-colored pitaya with white meat is the sweetest. I know this one is really sweet, though.

It looks great Andy I can see why it's called Dragon fruit has a lovely red to it how do you peel this to get to the fruit.?
