Gorgeous colour but still prefer your Jamacain yellow.

This one was a little sparse. So many of the trees and plants in Balboa Park are still really suffering from the extreme drought. I couldn't believe the amount of palms dying from the severe drought! :>((

There's an African Tulip tree in this area that is usually so beautiful. It looks horrible with all the die-back from the drought. I wish they could water the trees more! :>((

Thats such a shame even the trees suffering along wigh the Tulip tree and Palms dying through the drought . Yes you would think they would be prepared for droughts there. Do you ever get much rain at all there.

This past winter we had really good rains. Northern and Central California had much, much more rain than us, though. It was too little too late though for most trees. We need to have another very wet winter for the plants to really start recovering. If we could get some good rains from the remnants of a hurricane or tropical storm it would help a lot. We have very rarely been hit with a tropical storm or hurricane. If fact, there's only one recorded time San Diego has been hit by a hurricane. It was in 1856, so we're way over due. Yikes! I think tropical storms have hit San Diego 5 or 6 times in recorded history.

Lets hope you get a good rainfall this winter then in time so the plants and trees dont suffer . You ll have to get some water from Texas lol .Not that many tropical storms then really. I am surlrised they dont collect the rain water when it does rains in big tanks for each house and placed in an area locally.

Every time I watch the coverage from Hurricane, tropical storm Harvey. I wish we could receive just a little of the tremendous amount of rain Texas had received.

Some houses do collect water. I collect rain water in my three big barrels. On Monday we received a little bit of water from a little thunderstorm which moved through very quickly. I got a little bit more water in my barrels. Yay!

This is what I dont understand all that rain water in Texas why are they not channeling it from storm drains into areas to water peoples plants or sell the water to like you in San Diego if they started in the first place by pipeing from areas that have floods or excess water to areas that dont get much rain there would nt be such problems but no one wants to work together do they from one area to another.

Houston is a very long ways away from San Diego. It's politics and money that prevents water from being distributed to different parts of the U. S.

As I say they wont (each state ) work together which will be the Americas downfall.

Yep it certainly is must be bred into the human but slowly they are learning eg like here and the states there at one time they would nt share crime information in the lolice forces now they do. Same with tribes in parts of the world they have learned to share its only a few that wont allow them into their domain in fear of catchimg illnesses.
