Beautiful colour and flower still looks coral to me lol

It's a red-orange. I really like this shrub. I used to have one years ago.

Thats why it looks like a coral colour to me then. Perhaps you could get another Andy.

I'll post another photo of some other shrubs growing at Alcazar Plaza Gardens in the middle of Balboa Park. They have a lot there. They were in a little more shade, though.

Thanks! :>)) B. variegata grows everywhere here. It's very widely grown as a street tree. It flowers in late winter, spring...then looks horrible afterwards for a month or so as it looses its leaves...then quickly comes back into growth.
