Thanks! It is.

I used to have one bigger and more spectacular than this one when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. I think they like it much better up in the SF Bay Area. I used to see them 6 to 8 ft tall and wide with hundreds of flowers. They looked like giant candelabras.

Yes, it is. I have one in the front garden. It's not quite as big as this one...and it should be flowering soon, also.

It's definitely not as spectacular as this one. Actually, this one is not as spectacular as the ones I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.

It might be one day Andy shame the better ones are in San Franscio Bay .

I think the soil and temps are better for it in the SF Bay Area.

Yes they do say to get a plant to grow well is mimic its natural enviroment.

13 Sep, 2017

It comes from a tropical climate as an understory plant.

Ahrr I see so its shaded by other plants.

15 Sep, 2017

Yes, they look so much greener when planted under trees.

15 Sep, 2017

I expect their foliage would get bleached and fade if they were in direct sun light .

15 Sep, 2017

Yes, the leaves will actually just burn in direct hot sun.

18 Sep, 2017

Yes I thought they would its good to have one that likes shade by others as you can have layers of plants .
