These are worth having in the garden. They look great anywhere; excellent long lasting cut flowers, attracts butterflies, bees and all kinds of interesting critters. They bloom the first year - no waiting! I started these from seed in February. I hope they come back next year. No problems that I can recall. Grows well in average soil, sun, just water when you get around to it. It's OK!

Karen: I like Prairie Sun with it's golden center - good choice.
Pamelaanne: Can't go wrong with these. They are so easy to grow and forgiving. The cones will persist through the winter.

Yesterday I planted six more Rudbeckia fulgida 'Deamii' in my golden border for next year. I love them! Prairie sun is another favourite of mine, but it doesn't overwinter here. Deamii does. :)
