Ixora coccinea 'Maui Red'

There's 4 Ixora 'Maui Red' in this area. They've been there for at least 5 or 6 years. It's a dwarf plant which blooms form May through January. Photo taken Sept. 12, 2017.

The leaves are a little chlorotic; however, it does flower most of the year here in San Diego. In the tropics it flowers all year old.

Can you not feed it with some thing to bring it back to how it should be with the leaves but as long as it flowers it can't be that bad .

The flowers are great, the leaves need more epsom salts and more vinegar. This plant is very acid-loving and the soil here is very alkaline.

Yes the flowers are lovely . Ahrr so it likes acid skil explain it then with the leaves if its in alkaline soil.
