there's a small euonymus beneath the sumach that also turns a brilliant red in autumn..but it's been warm enough that it isn't turning yet.

Looks great together against the crisp white of your house as background. I used to be forever mowing the babies but still loved that tree.

Thanks 3d! yes, Resi, I love it (but I try to keep it under control.) Trying to set the bones of this garden... it's a sunny sandy hillside... When it was dry last year I thought I might lose the euonymous. This past summer was very moist so I'm hoping it's going to improve...I have two small yellow cypress that I need to move/relocate and a pair of Alberta Spruce which I'll need a machine to lift safely. I should have spaced them better when they were planted...alas... hindsight.
