A beauty Dawn.

It gets windy here tomorrow apparently, poor you. I've literally just watched Bluebell on GW. Did you see the peeling bark Betula, I've got that, bought from them 2 foot tall, £40 ouch! Along with Prunus serrula. Robert senior is the owner, what a character!

Such a beautiful colour combination. Just a pit it's not hardier. Just as well to take cuttings.

And a shame it flowers so late, S. Black and blue came through winter still in the garden, it's in bud! I doubt it will come to anything before a cold snap, mild all week though the forecast says.

Stunning colour!

Yup...I did. I so wish I had an Acer griseum. Every time I see it, I swoon!

We had a gorgeous Acer griseum in our last garden . . . would love another, but not sure there's room. You have plenty of space for one, Karen!

I don't know about yours Sheila but ours is really slow at the moment which is fine, get one Karen, they are a thing of beauty, I think youll have at least ten to fifteen years before you need to maintain

Hmmm...it is tempting. You see you say I have plenty of room here, but I don't really. I will give it some thought and see if I can come up with a spot for one.

As an Acer, they don't cast much shade but of course need space to spread their wings and space to show off their beauty.

A great plant.....pity they are so late to flower!

Don’t blame you! Its a gorgeous plant. I used to have this in my last garden. We are getting battered by eerily warm winds today...not the weather for this beauty!
