What I want to know, is are you going to wash all those white tree trunks? It would be worth it you know.....go on! ;)

They've got character, without washing. I take it the upward 'arrows' on the trunks are where you've cut out side branches.

Siris, as the trees have grown the lower branches fall naturally, sometimes we remove but usually they do it all by themselves.

Thats interesting Dawn...I didn’t know they shed their lower branches..useful to know.

Dawn, no didn't see GW, nor knew that Silver Birch shed their lower branches, I am assuming that's what they are.

Siris, yes these are common birch. GW featured Bluebell Arboretum, they are only about 3 miles from here and Robert the owner visited us to advise us when we first planted the trees. They featured some special birch and were washing the branches to get better effect, who has got time for that!

Yeah..Mum was here a long time before me. I think she did tell me about GoY but I forgot all about it. I only found it after googling a particular plant and the rest is history!

I found it by asking a question and Answer R replied, Terra was very active at that time and was very welcoming. Like you say, the rest is history.
