Thanks! I am really lucky I can grow these without having a conservatory. The big problem is providing enough bright light without direct sun.

Like orchids then likes the light but not direct sun light which I keep on my windowsills .

I have a friend who grows orchids in barrels that are in his woods. That way they get the drainage they need.

What a good idea Wylie mine are only indoor ones . I had a hardy orchid which a man up the the lane gave me but it died it lasted 3 years he is giving me another to try I shall try a barrel like your friend next year when he gives me another thanks for idea.
