Its my favourite plant name! Although I think there is another word in there sometimes...yes, glandulosa! Ampelopsis glandulosa Brevipedunculata! Took me ages to learn that one! Gorgeous coloured berries aren’t they? Similar colour to Jade Vine.

Thanks Thrup - looks like beads. Some said the berries are edible, but they don't exactly tickle my appetite.
LOL Karen, I can't help you with pronunciation! I've seen the Jade Vine at the NY Botanical Garden. It's on the Endangered Species list, but that's the color!

Yes they do look like beads ☺ I take it they are not tasty then.

I bet you can't say that quickly three times, lol! We also have the Jade Vine here . . there's one in the hothouse of the Cambridge Botanic Gardens.

I saw the Jade Vine in Edinburgh Botanic Gardens Glasshouse. It stopped me in my tracks. I must go back there soon, its such a treat in the winter, to wander through their extensive tropical collections. They have a large Vanilla Orchid as well....and loads of other goodies of course.

Sheila - I can't even say it once. I just did the copy & paste operation. Same here Karen, I need revisit the Botanical Gardens again - maybe January AFTER the Holidays - that's the best time to go.

Great plan Bathgate....there's nothing to see in our gardens in January really..a great idea.

Yes, I agree, very relaxing to visit the exhibits and explore the grounds at the Botanical Gardens. Somebody here asked for photos of the Cork Trees, another excuse to go. :)
