First ever bloom of 20 year old Schefflera arboricola.

Such a fine dainty flower Stan very pretty never knew they flowered known here as the Umberella plant.

It gets even more showy as the flowers become orange berries. Now,at this time of year its getting cool so I don't know if they will form,not form,or take until spring. Just wait and see I guess.

Wow! I had them growing up there. They grow very well. Never saw many flower, there, though. The large ones at the Palmetum in Oakland used to flower and set berries. I see them in flower here and the orange berries in spring and summer.

I actually have a volunteer seedling of Schefflera actinophylla growing in with my Chamaedorea plumosa in the front yard. There's several large S. actinophylla trees growing around here; however, I've never seen one sprout here (in my yard).
