Schizostylis 'Mrs Hegarty' on this miserable morning. Very cold this morning and thick fog. I can't hear any planes either and I live under Heathrow's flight path. I assume because of the fog so these late starters are a joy.

Autumn to winter Wylie. They can still be in flower over Christmas and so easy to grow.

Just seen Schizostyis in their natural environment. Such floriferous plants when little else in flower.

This is what I like about the South African irises - that they start when so many others are finished. Are these summer or winter growers?
