When the sun catches your autumn grasses

Love grasses, would fill the garden with them if we had the room...

I'm gradually adding more, but trying to use varieties that are upright with a narrow spread. 'Karl Foerster' is a good one for getting height and but will need dividing fairly frequently on rich soil. Here, the luma sucks all the goodness and moisture out of it.

We have to divide our vigorous ones regularly to keep them from overtaking the borders.....but, wouldn't be without them! especially the Hakonechloa!

I'm a great fan of the panicums 'Heavy Metal' and 'Rehbraun', also molinia 'Moorhexe'

I am a grower of grasses too. But it is a pity they so get so
big so fast! Forever divider or changing their place. It is of the breeze, and the light that i think is such a sight in the fall.
Others would find them quite useless unless they have the
enough room for this sort of admiration, No?This is a beautiful photo. Thanks

We have Heavy metal which has been divided twice now, and Molinia variegata, which is a recent purchase.....
