Probably a bit late for this year but I have added a hedgehog house in a sheltered corner under a shrub. There is at least one hog in the area as I find 'little presents' around the pond.
UPDATE: the cat food I am leaving each evening beside this desirable residence is being eaten.

Sue - yes I do have some sadly. Though not as many as I used to have as many find they have to cross the road to get 'home' if they are found in the front garden.

Haha, my slugs/snails don't get the opportunity to walk home, after I've given them the boot (from the top)

That looks like a lovely cosy home, hope it is a hedgehog eating the cat food!

I think it might be a cat - grrrr. Getting a bit cold for hedgehogs to still be around.

Apparently the trick is to reduce the headroom over the food to a few inches, high enough for a hedgehog to get under, but too low for a cat.

That certainly looks cosy. Hope they eat lots of slugs and snails. Whoops, maybe you don't have any!
