Sadie was a rescue, totally paralyzed in her hind quarters. Scans showed that she had a spinal injury. The vet neurosurgeon said that with surgery she might walk again. I could not loose her smile so I told him to go ahead. After the surgery and five months later she was walking on her own but to get to that point she battled courageously with such tenacity....I had the utmost admiration and respect for her. In her fourteenth year came the final test of courage, a heart problem. That too she challenged and would not give up until I made the decision that it was time for one of the great loves of my life to come to rest. I cannot say that my heart is broken because she devoted her life to give me a happy heart and for her I will keep it that way.
