You'll be nice and warm now :) I hope the snow clears for you soon.
We haven't had any here for about 7 or 8 years but there's a sprinkling on the rooftops today.

wow, must be a strange site. We have a few inches piled up already and the snow will keep falling all night. I have to keep the walkways clear so I'll be shoveling snow before sunrise. lol yikes!

We’ve just been treated to a glimpse of a New Zealand Monarch butterfly! Apparently they are quite common here (in the North Island).

That's wonderful to hear Linda. Well done New Zealand! The Monarch population here in the US was decimated a few years ago by some freaky weather late Spring freezes down in Mexico where they go to 'over winter'.
I've seen a few fluttering around in my garden this year so hopefully they are rebounding. I've started a milkweed garden with different types of milkweed which bloom a different times. Be safe Sheila & happy trails.
