This Royal palm is growing very well by the Botanical Building. It was planted in August of 2009 as a small tree. Photo taken Jan. 1, 2018.

This palm is very famous for its whitish large-columnar trunk. It used a lot in rows. You see it very widely used in Miami, Florida.

Yes, there's so many hundreds of species of palms which grow outdoors here in San Diego.

Thats soon shot up its a lovely shape and I love the trunk.
