Yes there are lots of buds on my Camellia s but they never open until spring .

You don't have to wait too long, then. Some Camellias will be done flowering by then, here in San Diego.

Yes my others on the other side by the house south facing get s the afternoon sun but they are not in the sunny part.

You don't receive the kind of heat we have here in San Diego in winter (which is isn't good for Camellia).

Lol no we don't get your kind of heat Andy the frost we get can do as much damage as your heat they say here never put a Camelia east facing.

Camellia trees or shrubs here have to be planted on the north or north-east side of home or businesses or they will most certainly burn up.
