Not in my garden, what a good example of a Snakebark maple. I have tree envy.

Should be just about perfect now then.

Wish there was somewhere local I could go and choose a proper tree like that, but I don't think there is any more. You are very lucky to be so near to Bluebell. You must be one of their best customers!

Haha Karen, they are expensive there but I guess it's due to their plants being more specialist, i did buy my special Prunus serrula and peeling bark Betula from there though but I had to wait for them to get them in, a few weeks in fact, and my face must have been a picture when I saw the size of them, about 18" high and £40 each, yikes. No where here to choose trees except the commercial garden centres.

Blimey! pricey! We do have a great local nursery that will get in what you ask for whenever they can. So it's not an impossible quest.

Trees have shot up in price, when looking for something to replace our Pauls Scarlet, we were amazed at the prices, resorted to online in the end.......bought a Ginkgo in the end, with a two year guarantee....

I bought alot of my trees around 7 years ago and they seem to have increased in price from then to now by up to 50%, I know the nurseries have to grow for years before they are sold but it's a big increase.
Love Ginkgo, I forgot I had a couple lol, tiny though at the moment.

I had a beautiful Acer rufinerve in my first garden. I chose it myself and they brought it on a van when it was already about 4m high. They wrecked their trolley getting it across our gravel paths and shortly after that they closed the nursery to the public! lol! Stunning tree though , with green and white snake-skin bark.
