Clianthus puniceous for Siris

The first Clianthus puniceous bud turned red. The huge pot is behind the greenhouse for a bit of wind protection. The white ones have just started to get flower buds. There must be a reason they are quite a few weeks behind the red. It was the same last year yet their pots are together.

No Sue, they are spare glass for the greenhouses and the frost is melting on them and they open from the bottom up but they are hanging down. A bit like a foxglove, working their way to the tip. Sorry if the photo is confusing.

Oh wow, so they turn colour from the top down. Did you take the pic from the inside the greenhouse, it looks a tad wet outside.
