Today I planted my 3' (1 m) tall mango tree sapling into the ground. I starting this little mango tree from a seed from the 'Keitt' variety fruit. It's a little more than a year old. Hopefully, one day it will bear fruit or I can graft it. Photo taken March 1, 2018.

Yes...I think it popped up from the seed I planted back in September sometime in 2016. It's almost a year and half old.
I have some Manila mango seeds sprouting roots from seeds I planted a month ago. I put the seeds in a plastic bag wrapped in a paper towel.
