I didnt expect that all my Orchids ( but two) would be in bloom in March outdoors. Not the summer display I expected years ago.
The Red Masdavallia is back from near death. First bloom in at least 4 years, maybe more. I had put it in a media it hated and it nearly rotted to death on me.
With Cattleya and Dendrobium kingii in small violet color.

Last year Andy,I dont think they were all in bloom at the same time as this. Even a Dendrobium 'Comet' is in big bud.
Something about the warm mid winter did it.

Thanks!..They are not spectacular bloomers, with all but the Cattleya being from subtropical areas or high cloudforest. That's alright..they are little jewels up close.
The Masdavallia are often called "Dracula Orchids" for that two fanged bloom.

They look great! My Dendrobium kingianum isn't blooming yet. It usually blooms in February.
